A NEW CANDIDATE IN OVERSEAS

Yunus Emre Prens: “Sales figures in Iraq surprised us a lot. Even during the wartime, our products were sold in considerable amounts. Investing on the brand name is very important and we are planning to be more active in overseas markets by making serious investments in the near future.”

Apex Halư (Apex Carpet Co.), founded in 1993, is among the leading companies who contributed in constituting the modern carpet concept in Turkey. Today the company is displaying activity also in home textile and accessories besides the carpet production. For the last three years, Apex Halư mainly focused on carpet industry and particulary interested in non-slip soled polyamide carpet group. The company has a total of 235 dealers throughout Turkey.

“We proved that non-slip soled polyamide carpets can function also in living rooms. Concerning this, Apex Halư has become a leading company introducing this kind of product group to Turkish market. We have other products which have some similar technical features with the ones available on the market. However the main distinctive feature of our products is the color combinations which are diligently selected and applied.” says Yunus Emre Prens, General Manager of Apex Halư.

International shows are seriously taken by the company. Believing in the advantages of this kind of shows, especially in terms of new product introductions, Apex Halư participated in Eurasia Floor for the third time in 2006. In order to broaden their company vision, the company visits more than ten international fairs every year whether it is sector related or not.

Currently Apex Halư does not have any intensive practice in overseas, however they have four dealers in Iran, Iraq, Azerbaijan and Holland. When asked about the sales figures, Yunus Emre Prens responded “Sales figures in Iraq surprised us a lot. Even during the wartime, our products were sold in considerable amounts.”

Regarding the overseas activities Prens says: “Today Apex Halư is trading with companies from France, United Arab Emirates, China, Belgium and Israel. We import goods from these countries and we have joint venture partnership with the companies. ISO standards is a must for us.”

Knowing that investing on the brand name is very important, the company is planning to be more active in overseas markets by making serious investments in the near future.
